David B. Druzisky, ASGCA – Course Architect

David established Druzisky Golf Design in Scottsdale, Arizona in November of 1996. Among his numerous projects is the award winning Laughlin Ranch Golf Club which was ranked among The Best New Upscale Courses for 2006 by Golf Digest magazine. Laughlin Ranch was also awarded the Golf Course News Creative award for best new construction 2006 and maintains a top 10 status among all courses in the competitive Arizona market. Other notable designs include his masterpiece The Links At Teton Peaks located near Driggs, Idaho, the exclusive award winning Dragon Ridge Country Club in Henderson, NV where he was joined by noted golf course Architect Jay Morrish and The Duke on the outskirts of Phoenix. International work includes Fazenda Santo Antonio on a private estate 100 km north of Sao Paulo, Brasil.

David relocated his firm to Boise, Idaho in the fall of 2006 where he continues to assist a variety of clients with new course planning and design as well as consultation, renovation and redesign of existing courses throughout the west and internationally in Brasil. Current renovation clients include Crane Creek Country Club, Hillcrest Country Club, Seven Oaks Country Club, CA and Meadow Springs Country Club in Richland, WA.

Prior to establishing his own firm, David had joined the Phoenix office of Keith Foster Golf Course Design at the inception of the firm in 1991 and remained until the fall of 1996. During his last three years there, David managed the firm’s Western office in Arizona and was responsible for twelve projects. Among these projects were critically acclaimed SunRidge Canyon in Fountain Hills Arizona. Before joining Keith Foster, David spent two years with Cupp Design, Bob Cupp’s national golf course design firm, in both Atlanta and Portland.

To gain an understanding of the principles of design theory, David earned a Bachelors in Landscape Architecture from the University of Arizona. Valuable experience early on was gained through internships with Robert Trent Jones Jr. in California and Bob Cupp in Atlanta, Georgia.

Prior to entering design, David spent several years in golf course construction. This first-hand experience has been of considerable value to both David and his clients and is represented in the accuracy of his design documents, cost estimates and construction management abilities.

David is a 10 year member of the exclusive professional society The American Society of Golf Course Architects.
