Tips For Playing Hole #17 Par 5

The 17th hole is a relatively short par 5. Even though the hole is short very few golfers par this hole. The waste area captures thousands of balls a year and the two pot bunkers that sit adjacent to the green also collect their fair share. Hit away! The center or left side of the fairway will give the most direct approach and shortest carry across the natural area. Longer hitters have a good opportunity to reach the green with the second shot. Shorter hitters should play it safe and take the long route, laying up as needed. Beware of the pot bunkers right of the green. Add at least a club for the uphill approach.
