Hole #7
Tips For Playing Hole #7 Par 5
The seventh hole has an island green. The surrounding large pond requires a second shot, even for the long hitter, of at least 150 yards. The pond’s crystal clear water is home to large rainbow trout up to 20 inches or longer. Often during the week, a golfer, when completing his or her round, is given permission to fish this large pond free of charge.
Longer hitters may risk a second shot to the green, but a miss can result in a big number. Safe play is a layup short of the natural area in the middle of the fairway, a layup short of the pond, then a third shot to the green. This is a large green, but avoid long-right of the green as shots hit long will find the pond in back.
