Duffy McFarland

This company is headed by Duffy McFarland, Golf Professional and member of the PGA. Duffy is loved by everyone. He is a great golfer and his friendliness is contagious. He and his crew keep The Links in excellent condition. Jeff, our outstanding Superintendent, works for Duffy as does Jeff’s crew and the course professional, Brent A. Baldwin. Duffy is an exceptional golf course manager and his company also manages the two excellent courses in Rexburg, Idaho.
We are lucky to have Duffy and his excellent team managing our course.
Brent A. Baldwin
Head Professional
Brent A. Baldwin is a PGA golf professional with extensive experience and management skills who is dedicated to the game of golf and passionate about giving back and growing the game.
Brent was born in Cedar City, Utah in 1968. He was raised in American Fork, a small town south of Salt Lake City. Brent graduated from Utah Valley State College in 2001 with an Associate’s Degree in Business Management. He was elected as a member of the Professional Golfers Association in 1997, and is recognized as a President’s Council member and was chair of the Salt Lake County Golf Division.
Brent is a father to a beautiful 13 year old daughter and has diverse outdoor interests including motocross, snow skiing, hunting, fishing, shooting trap and is an amateur chef.
Take a lesson from Brent and you will become a better golfer.
Jeff Sundwall
Golf Course Superintendent
Jeff, our Superintendent for seven years, does a magnificent job. Let’s put his job in perspective. Imagine your home with a lawn and a sprinkler system. If your sprinkler system is like ours at our home, one or more heads are not working and there are dry spots on the lawn and flower beds need to be weeded. Now magnify your lawn and flower beds by a thousand and you will get an idea how complicated Jeff’s job is. Jeff is responsible for keeping over a thousand sprinkler heads working and keeping the greens in excellent shape.
Most golfers say that our greens are the best in the area.
Jeff is also responsible for the maintenance of the 56 sand bunkers on the course as well as maintaining 72 tee boxes. Jeff is an expert in course maintenance and he can fix most of the complicated golf mowers, tractors, etc. So you can see that Jeff has a very difficult job. Jeff is a magician keeping everything in perfect shape. Jeff is also a course ambassador. He knows almost all the season pass holders, many of whom he has become close friends with. Often Jeff is invited to the best restaurants in the area by appreciative pass holders.
Jeff is one of the smartest guys you will meet. Jeff is a student of quantum physics. He has attended numerous seminars by noted physicists and knows more about black holes and the Higgs-Boson than anyone we know other than our dear friend, Nobel Laureate, Leon Lederman. Jeff is a really smart guy and we are lucky to have him as our Superintendent.
